Louisville receives advisory notice from the NCAA – The Athletic



The University of Louisville received a verbal advisory notice from the NCAA in early March, a school spokesperson confirmed to The Athletic in an email on Wednesday.

The verbal warning is an initial step in the NCAA's expected research on the basketball program. It's part of the NCAA's broader investigation into the allegations revealed in the extensive FBI college basketball corruption case that is now being conducted in federal court. Arizona and Kansas are also under investigation.

An official notification in writing from the NCAA is as follows.

"We received a verbal notice of consultation from the NCAA on March 8," said school spokesman John Karman. "There are no other details I can provide at this time."
