Living and working in space: radiation

Living and working in space requires human perseverance. Future missions will focus on exploration at greater distances from Earth; to the moon and then to Mars. These missions will mean that humans will remain in space for long periods. To ensure that these goals are achieved, NASA astronauts must be able to maximize their productivity even in the most difficult conditions.
Our research and science allow the exploration of human space flight to expand the frontiers of knowledge, capacity and opportunities in space.
