The weekend of Thanksgiving brought bad news for family, friends and fans of Julio Oscar Mechoso.

Mechoso had enjoyed a long career with roles in a variety of films, including hits such as "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Bad Boys." He has also appeared on some of the most popular television shows in recent years, from "Seinfeld" to "The Big Bang Theory" to "Gray & # 39; s Anatomy".
Two of the old children on the Mechoso screen mourned their loss by touching messages on social networks. Gabriel Luna wrote that his television father "Matador" was "a supreme artist" and "a powerful interpreter with an open and open heart".
Isabella Gomez, another member of her "Matador" family, tweeted a touching tribute of her own, writing that her "heart feels so heavy".

Mechoso's frequent co-star, Andy Garcia, who had been a friend of his from college, shared a statement full of beautiful reflections He wrote, in part (through the Miami Herald):
Julio appreciated the work of an actor. He treated him with great respect. He honored him. He was intrepid and experimental. Always living and looking for the absolute truth. He was proud to be an actor, but he was very proud of his family. The love of her life Linda, what a beautiful relationship they shared, and the pride and love she had for her three children, Melinda, JJ and CJ was wonderful.
Mechoso will be missed, but as Garcia wrote, "his art will continue."
