Head coach Jaap Stam has made no changes for FC Cincinnati, which is starting the XI before Tuesday night’s match against the Portland Timbers in MLS, the back tournament knockout stage presented by Audi.
This is only the third time that FLC has used the same start in several weeks as the club joined the MLS. The final example was against New York City FC at Newport Stadium on August 17, 2019.
About match squad
Jurgen Locadia is available and could make his MLS back tournament debut if Stam uses him as a forward option.
Lokadia was unavailable for the last four matches as he recovered from an injury and was last played at Atlanta United FC on 7 March.
The Dutchman is the only change of matchbox roster.
Jimmy McLaughlin (ankle), Spencer Ritchie (concealer) and Michael van der Veff (groin) are all unavailable against Portland.
As a reminder, knockout stage matches are not counted toward the regular season standings, but three group stage games did.
Tuesday’s match is the first time the FCC has played in the Lamar Hunt Open Cup in 2019 against St. Louis FC since last June in a knockout match.
