You are solely responsible for your comments and, by using TribLive.com, you accept our
Terms of Service.
We moderate the comments. Our goal is to provide substantial comments for a general audience. By examining the presentations, we provide a space where readers can share intelligent and informed comments that improve the quality of our news and information.
While most comments will be published if they are related to the topic and are not abusive, moderate decisions are subjective. We will do them as carefully and consistently as we can. Due to the volume of readers' comments, we can not review individual moderation decisions with readers.
We value intelligent comments that represent a variety of points of view that express your point quickly and politely. We strive to protect discussions from repeated comments from the same reader or from different readers.
We follow the same taste standards as the newspaper. Some things we will not tolerate: personal attacks, obscenity, vulgarity, blasphemy (including expletives and letters followed by scripts), commercial promotion, personifications, inconsistencies, proselytism and SHOUTING. Do not include URLs to websites.
We do not edit comments. They are approved or eliminated. We reserve the right to edit a comment that is quoted or extracted from an article. In this case, we can correct the spelling and punctuation.
We welcome strong and critical opinions about our work, but we do not want comments to get stuck in our policy discussions and we will moderate accordingly.
We appreciate it when readers and people cited in articles or blog posts point out errors of fact or emphasis and will investigate all statements. But these suggestions must be sent
via email. To avoid distracting other readers, we will not post comments suggesting a correction. Instead, the corrections will be made in a blog post or in an article.
