LaVar Ball said his eldest son, Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, is "disgusted" with the way the team has been playing. And the father blamed the Lakers' recent struggles on how the coaching staff has been using his son.

The Lakers have lost five consecutive games and are 8-15, which places them far from the image of the playoffs.

"He's not used to losing like that," LaVar Ball said in a radio interview with SiriusXM on Tuesday .

Ball (31% shooting in the season) did not play the entire fourth quarter in Sunday's loss to the Houston Rockets and finished with just two points on 0 of 4 shots in 22 minutes.

"The Lakers should build around Lonzo," said LaVar Ball. "Why are you being seated and are not you starting in the last room?"

LaVar Ball made headlines this week by pulling its middle son, LiAngelo Ball, out of UCLA in the middle of an indefinite suspension due to an incident of shoplifting. On Tuesday, LaVar appeared on the NBC show Today with LiAngelo to explain the decision. Later, LaVar was on CNN's "Nuevo Día" and blamed UCLA for not having assumed more "responsibility" in the arrest for theft of his son.
