Call of Duty: the first community event of the Second World War is about to begin, bringing new content. Winter Siege will arrive to the game from December 8 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can see the new event and everything it brings in the previous trailer.
Winter Siege presents a new winter version of Carentan's multiplayer map, which is a winter-themed, snow-themed version of the fan favorite, previously only available as a reimagined Carentan for seasonal pass owners. The headquarters is receiving a seasonal renewal as well, with a visiting mayor along with new Supply Drops full of cool equipment for cold weather.
The second week of the Winter Siege event marks the limited return of the Gun Game as part of a non-stop schedule of XP's special double playlists. Classic mode allows players to compete to be the first to win a kill with each weapon in the game (and previously it was leaked).
The event also brings a new look for Headquarters. It will be conditioned for the winter, and the beach camp will acquire a snowy aspect during the whole event. There will also be a visiting mayor. Captain Butcher visits the Barracks with uniforms from the Winter Siege Division, cosmetic items and weapons variants.
Players can obtain a variant of each new weapon for free through Major Orders of Major Howard (with orders being rotated daily to allow players to unlock a variant) of each new weapon for free). Other rare variants of these weapons are available through Bounties Collection, or in Winter Siege Supply Drops. Winter Siege Supply Drops can be obtained for free simply by playing Call of Duty: WWII during the event. Players will also receive a Free Winter Siege Supply Drop to log in, and you can purchase Winter Siege Supplies Drops using Call of Duty Points.
There are also a series of bug fixes, which will arrive tomorrow. You can see the list of problems that are discussed here. Winter Siege events are free and open to all players from December 8 to January 2, 2018. In other news, Call of Duty: WWII added classified games for PS4 and Xbox One in the form of matches of 4 against 4, and there is a PC update in the way that it will solve several problems and add the classified game.
