Tomorrow, on May 18, an exhibition of 40 European brightest young architects and designers is being unveiled in Athens. Austrian Mailis with the work of "The Shaolin Flying Monk Theater" included and honored this year in the prestigious list.
The Austrian Mailis and the team of architects who received the highest acclaim (Walter Muran, Ints Menegelis, Karlis Melzobs, Dina Suhanova, Andra Odumana , Ekaterina Olonkina) – the wind tunnel amphitheater for the famous Shaolin monks' levitation shows – is located in Salshan Hill in the central part of China. The author of the Shaolin Flying Monk theater, in 2017, won the Grand Ages of Architecture in Latvia.

In the framework of the award winning Europe 40 under 40 program, the International jury opts for the 40 best European young generation architects and designers to become the film director of the Environmental Film Studio on the creation of the project with the support of the National Film Center and the State Culture Capital Foundation.

Young architects, city planners, industrial and graphic designers, as well as fashion designers and textile designers who are 40 years of age and work in one from 48 European countries.
The award program is organized by the European Center for Architectural, Artistic, Design and Urban Planning and the Chicago Museum of Architecture and Design. Choosing 40 young talents, the jury is looking for design innovations, the implementation of new ideas and approaches, as well as the latest design of the use of construction technologies and materials. The sustainability of projects – energy efficiency, ecological design and the ability to respect the surrounding city or countryside environment and conditions – play an essential role.
