Lady Gaga criticizes Mike Pence during the presentation in Las Vegas

Lady Gaga took over the nation's current state of affairs during her "Enigma" show in Las Vegas on Saturday, joining a growing list of celebrities to express her disapproval of the Trump administration.

The Grammy winner highlighted Vice President Mike Pence, criticizing him for thinking that "it is acceptable for his wife to work in a school that prohibits LGBTQ."

The vice president has defended Karen Pence's decision to teach at Immanuel Christian School, which prohibits LGBTQ employees, students and families. In an interview with Eternal World Television Network, Mike Pence compared the uproar over his wife's decision to attack Christianity.

"You are wrong," said the singer, before speaking of her own Christian faith:

You said that we should not discriminate against Christianity. You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we do not have prejudices and that everyone is welcome. So you can take all that misfortune, Mr. Pence, you can look in the mirror and you'll find it there.

The actress of "A Star Is Born" also sent a message to Donald Trump amid the continuous partial closure of the government, asking if "the … president of the United States could put our government back into operation".

"There are people who live from payroll to payroll and need their money," he said to applaud the audience.
