We've seen many different injuries in basketball over the years, but we've never seen anything like this Kris Dunn injury. Keep in mind: you will not like it.
In Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls guard competed for a routine dunk but lost his grip on the rim as his legs swayed in front of him. Since gravity is a bitch, Dunn went straight down, first the head, or more specifically, the first teeth.
According to the Bulls, the official term of injury was "dislocated teeth."
INJURY UPDATE: Kris Dunn jumped and dislocated two front teeth when he fell with 2:52 left in the fourth quarter of tonight's game. He was also evaluated for possible concussion and at this time is free of concussive symptoms. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/mLGEHtLdRX

Here's the play. It's not grotesque, but i is not particularly nice to watch, either. You have been warned properly, and it is completely understandable if you want to omit it.
Here is a screenshot that basically sums it up.
Dunn hit the ground with such force that he left a mark ON THE HARDWOOD FLOORS.
Here's a test of the Chicago broadcast:
OW! Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow ow, ow! However, it is good to see support teammates!
Zach LaVine on Kris Dunn's teeth denting the floor of the United Center: "He has strong teeth, he must be drinking milk and everything"
– Cody Westerlund (@CodyWesterlund) January 18, 2018 OK, but that's a legitimately good joke. Addressing the person who asked him if Dunn was also a beaver, after seeing what he did on the floor.
Anyway, apologies and best wishes to Dunn, who hopefully has a great dentist.
As for the rest of us, maybe we should floss tonight. It's time to stop taking these nacreous whites for granted, because today we all knew that you can dislocate them and that sounds almost like the worst thing in the world.
