Khamzat Cheimev ‘to kill Gerald Meurschart’

Khamzat Chimav believes Gerald Meerschert is more than his dual booking going to the UFC on ESPN-36.

Cheimaev (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) is in an extremely rare position in UFC history, going into Saturday’s midwayweight matchup with Meerschaert (30-13 MMA, 6-5 UFC) in Las Vegas UFC occurs in Apex and streams on ESPN +. In addition to advancing this fight, he is also booked to fight Damian Maia at welterweight in October.

Meirschert has disrespected the situation, realizing that both Chimav and UFC brass are counting on him before stepping into the Octagon. Chimaev, however, does not see this as a big deal.

“I don’t know why he’s been insulted,” Cheema told reporters, including MMA junkies, during Wednesday’s UFC on ESPN + 36 Virtual Media Day. “Amateur boxers fight five or six fights. I am going to fight here and now after a month, but I fought two in 10 days. I don’t know why he feels that way. ”

Although Cheemaw has shown a lack of emotion about everything in public, this was clearly not the case when he saw Meershirt in private. During the week of the fight the pair walked into the Combat Hotel with each other, and the words were exchanged.

Meirschert gave his account of the moment when he spoke to the media, and the story of Chimavah was a bit different.

“He talks too much, he talks too much,” Chimav said. “He says, ‘You disrespect me.” I did not like that. I said, ‘I’m going to rob you, chicken.’ And he doesn’t say anything and I go from there. ”

When the two enter the Octagon on Saturday, all the talk will be over, and Cheimaev said that he is going to treat Meurschurt, he has every other opponent in his career. One is over.

“I’m better everywhere,” Chimav said. “I’m wrestling better, I’m battling better. I am better at striking. No one to stop me … I don’t know what’s going to happen Saturday night, but I’m going 100 percent to kill this guy. This is what I know. With everything to end him. ”
