Kelly Osbourne confesses that she relapsed after almost four years of sobriety


Kelly Osbourne revealed that she has relapsed after staying sober for nearly four years.

The 36-year-old media personality told fans on Monday in her Instagram Stories that she is not “proud” of her actions and is already working to “get back on track.”

“It’s a bit difficult for me to talk about this, but I have always promised that I will always be honest with you about where I am and what is happening on my road to recovery,” admitted Osbourne. “I relapsed. I’m not proud of it. But I’m back on track.”

As of Monday, the former “Fashion Police” host said she is sober again and will be “sober tomorrow.”

“But I’ve learned that it really is only one day at a time,” Osbourne continued. “I just want to tell you the truth because I never, never want to lie to you. Thank you so much for your support and your love.”

Osbourne got sober in 2017. He previously said he relied on drugs and alcohol to deal with his depression.

In 2019, she celebrated two years sober. “I woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. I can’t even put into words how much my life has changed in the last 2 years,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “To the friends and family who have supported me on this Journey, thank you, I love you all very much. If you are new to sobriety, stick with it, life really does get good.”

“Things got really dark,” Osbourne mused. “I gave up everything in my life, but mostly I gave up on myself. Life on life’s terms became too much for me. The only way I knew how to work was to self-medicate and move from one project to another so I never I had to focus on what was really happening to me. Something had to give … and it did. “
