Kelly Clarkson is opening up about her divorce struggle.
Clarified the topic during an interview with the 38-year-old pop star and daytime talk show host, who filed to end her seven-year marriage to husband Brandon Blackstock in early June Sunday Today On 13 September.
“I mean, it’s no secret,” Clarkson told host Willie Gist via Zoom. “My life has been a little dumpster … Personally, it’s been a little harder than the last few months.”
Clarkson and Blackstock, a music manager, married in October 2013 and shared two children, daughter River Rose, 5, and son Remington Alexander. 3. The couple also bore two children from Blackstock, daughter Sawan, 18, and son Seth, 18, from a previous marriage.
Clarkson said she is relying on loved ones to help her through the difficult division.
“I am talking to friends who have gone through a divorce,” she said. I don’t know how people pass without some sort of outlet, because it’s the worst thing ever for everyone involved. ”
Clarkson is also capturing her feelings in the songs on her upcoming album, which she plans to release next year.
“It will probably be the most personal I’ve ever released,” said the singer. “And the whole record is basically every emotion you experience from the beginning of a relationship to the end of what it is right now or where it is, and it’s very therapeutic to me.”
He said, “It’s very honest. There is one that my children sing in the car. I’m going through the mix, and I’m just like, ‘This is weird.’ Like, this is your relationship. I have never written my life about where my children are singing. ”
