KB under investigation of shooting officer in Andover


ANDOVER, Cannes? (KWCH) – Update: October 17 at 8:30 pm The Kansas Bureau of Investigation released more details in a shooting in Andover.

According to the CBI, on Saturday afternoon, Andover police responded to a man holding a gun outside the Quick Shop on Highway 54.

The 46-year-old man was shot “after an oral exchange” by an Andover police officer. The then man led several area businesses and was dependent on a broom nearby.

The man was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries.

The investigation is on.

October 17, 6 pm: The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating after the officer shot in Andover.

The shooting took place at the Quick Shop on Highway 54 and Andover Road. The shooter ran through a nearby area and ended up in Broome’s parking lot where he was shot. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
