The royal family is joining the Christmas spirit.

On Wednesday, via their official Twitter account, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a photo of their family that will be featured on their Christmas card.

In the sweet picture, the Duke and Duchess, both 38, hold their three children – George, 7, Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 2 – smiling as they sit on a hay bale. Louis, in particular, wears a huge grin.

The note concluded with a Christmas tree emoji and was credited to photographer Matt Portholm for the photo.

The photographer also shared the image on her own Instagram and posted a brief quote.

“It was an honor to photograph the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family,” he wrote. “Capturing fun and relaxed moments in the midst of such a wonderful family is always a true privilege.”

Fans of the royal family were pleased with the photo.

“Omg this picture is super beautiful and cute. My goodness is how much I love this little family,” Wrote another. “Thank you [Kensington Palace] To release it. “
