Kangana Ranaut used “foul language” against Uddhav Thackeray: Complaint

Kangana Ranaut is struggling with the demolition of her Mumbai office in the Bombay High Court.


Police have registered two complaints against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly using indecent language against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

According to a complainant, in a video aired on social media on September 9, Mr. Ranaut, used “inflammatory and derogatory words” against Mr. Thackeray, and as such, “tried to diminish character and challenge dignity”. Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Ms. Ranaut, who is fighting the demolition of her Mumbai office in the Bombay High Court, attacked Mr. Thackeray in a video released on Wednesday in which she addressed him “tu” (you).

“It’s the wheel of time. Remember, it never stays the same”, Ms. Ranaut, 33, a Mumbai civic body, announced that it was illegal in the actor’s office in the Palis Hills area of ​​the city. The demolition began hours later.

The demolition was halted yesterday by the High Court after a petition was filed challenging the actor’s move to the civic body. The court stated that “prima facie (demolition) does not appear to be bonafide”.

Ms Ranaut has claimed that she is being targeted by the Maharashtra government, which runs the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, and with which she is in the midst of a rapidly growing political row.

The hearing was adjourned by the Bombay High Court this afternoon. The case will now be heard on 22 September.

Ms. Ranaut’s fight with the ruling Shiv Sena began with comments on the Sushant Singh Rajput case, comparing Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and additional comments that she no longer feels safe in Mumbai.

One of the two complaints filed against the actor also claimed today that he had tried to create discrimination against a particular community by comparing “the alleged incident (s) that happened to him to the Pandits of Kashmir”.

Earlier this week, Mr. Thackeray swiped at Ms. Ranaut, without naming the actor. The Chief Minister said that some people have no gratitude towards the city where they earn their livelihood.

The Center’s decision to provide Y-plus-level CRPF protection to Ms. Ranaut has added further fuel to the fire; Home Ministry sources said that the decision came after the perception of “renewed danger” for the actor.

Ms. Ranaut, who has often expressed her support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, is now the first actor to achieve security at this level; Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are only two levels above him.
