What’s cool, which I’ve talked about quite a bit, is that in the two movies that were going to follow this movie, you basically have the fall of Earth, and Superman is the main villain of that movie. After the timeline returns and Batman … after Batman’s sacrifice, Superman becomes the de facto head of the Justice League. And then he becomes the main hero of the final movie. So literally in two movies he has to go from really being like the destroyer of worlds to the savior of all. In many ways, Superman has the biggest arc in the entire world. And we did it on purpose because, maybe it was overcompensating for the notion that Superman normally doesn’t change much, and in many of Superman’s (comics) careers, his morality is the stone that everyone breaks with. And we said, ‘Let’s really stretch Superman as much as we can.’ Because we think, well, frankly, we have such a great Superman. Henry can do it. Then why not?
