Henry Walker, a 59-year-old Army veteran, could be awarded $7.5
million after he broke a hip whereas procuring at a Wal-Mart in

In June 2015, after selecting out a watermelon from a show,
Walker’s foot turned caught in a wood pallet beneath the
watermelons. Walker did not notice his foot was caught, and after
he turned away from the show, he fell and broke his hip.

Walker determined to sue Walmart for being negligent towards the
retailer’s unsafe situations, and the jury agreed with him, deciding
to award him a complete of $7.5 million on Thursday after taking a look at
footage from the shop’s safety cameras and realizing that
Walker was not the one buyer to get caught within the watermelon

Walmart plans to enchantment the ruling. “We are disillusioned within the
verdict and consider that the damages awarded have been extreme in
