Jurgen Klopp dismisses Liverpool’s worry, but makes unexpected entry after Leeds United win

Jaren Klopp admitted that there was “room for improvement” after Liverpool edged out Leeds with a 4-3 win over the Premier League season.

In a chaotic game at Anfield, the Reds were pushed back three times before Mohammad Salha’s late penalty sealed it for the champion.

Hat-trick hero Salah converted an opening spot-kick following a handball from Robin Koch, before Jack-Harrison stunned the hosts with an excellent equalizer.

Virgil van Dzek took a 2–1 lead from Andy Robertson’s corner but an unwelcome error from the Dutchman allowed Patrick Bamford to once again restore parity.

The second of the salute was canceled out when the Matusse Klich fired Alison to make it 3–3 with the last 25 minutes remaining.

And with just two minutes to go until stoppage time, Salah dispatched a third from 12 yards when substitute Fabinho was brought inside the area.

After the game, Klopp admitted that there was work to be done defensively, but insisted that he was not overly concerned with what he saw against Marcello Bielassa’s dominant side.

“I didn’t see us struggling defensively, but the way they play, you can’t defend 100 percent of the time,” Klopp said.

“But for the first goal both full backs were much deeper than the center-backs and should never be so in football.

“The second goal was a misunderstanding between Virgil and Ali and I don’t think we would see these situations very often.

“The third one we replaced Mendoz (Jordan Henderson) not too long ago and our formation was moving forward and we didn’t close a gap and to use a situation like this that you needed the bravery of the game plan and the leads .

“I don’t think the goalscorer was a striker, he just showed up there and did it brilliantly. We let him walk and the midfielders could have done it differently. That’s not an excuse. It’s just an explanation.

“The backline played for England, Holland and Scotland four days ago – all top teams but different modes of defense – and not riding a bike if things haven’t settled early in pre-season defense – so there’s room for improvement. is.”
