NEW YORK – Aaron Judge and Miguel Andujar hit two-run homers against James Paxton in the first inning that sent the New York Yankees to the Seattle Mariners by 4-3 on Thursday. Sweep of three games.

Severino (11-2) was not at his best. He lost Kyle Seager's two-run homer in the second and allowed eight hits in total, matching the season more. He was hit with two outs in the sixth inning after Ben Gamel's production single reduced Seattle's deficit to a career.
Severino improved to 7-0 at home this season. David Robertson and Dellin Betances protected the lead, and Aroldis Chapman struck out Dee Gordon in three pitches with a runner in the second for his 22nd save in 23 opportunities,
Paxton (6-2) energetically kicked the ground in front of the rubber during 15 full seconds before launching his first warm-up shot. After his shortest start of the year against Boston, he never settled on his first start against the Yankees.
Clint Frazier opened with a single and Judge followed with his 19th homer. Gleyber Torres hit a single with two outs and Andujar hit a flyball to right field that landed on the small porch of the rookie's tenth homer.
Paxton dropped a few steps onto the grbad while the ball flew and looked towards the center field when the park came out. Andújar was one of the many hitters in New York who succeeded in the opposite way to the big left-hander.
Paxton had 5-0 in 10 starts since April, including a no-hitter in Toronto. He gave five innings and threw 107 pitches, the same total as Severino.
