The Texans are sticking with Tom Savage as their beginning quarterback after final Sunday’s loss to the Colts, however they’re making a change to the depth chart behind him.

The workforce introduced the signing of Josh Johnson on Tuesday. Matt McGloin, who was signed final week together with T.J. Yates within the wake of Deshaun Watson‘s torn ACL, has been launched together with veteran defensive lineman Kendall Langford.

Johnson was launched by the Giants in September and has made just a few visits to groups for exercises over the past two months. He served as Eli Manning‘s backup for part of last season and last appeared in a regular season game with the Bengals during the 2013 season. He’s hung out with a wide range of groups on each offseason and energetic rosters since these appearances.

While saying that Savage would begin once more on Monday, Texans coach Bill O’Brien stated that the workforce had mentioned Colin Kaepernick together with different quarterbacks and stated that Kaepernick “hasn’t played in a while.” He additionally stated that “these things are going to continue to be discussed” and the discussions about Johnson’s latest inactivity should have gone higher than those about McGloin, who performed for O’Brien in faculty at Penn State.
