The world-renowned prop store – which houses an incredible collection of film memorabilia – will hold its annual live auction in early December … and the Sahara is expected to receive $ 5.6 million or more. While more than 900 items will be on the block, these are big-ticket items that should really rake in cash … like ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ from Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Hero Lightsaber, which Ewan Mcgregor wielded. The prop house expects to sell for up to $ 155,000.
Then there’s more whimsical stuff, which is like the Joker’s purple fedora from “Batman” – worn by Jack Nicholson – Expected to go between $ 26-38k … or mechanical exotic from the 1979 sci-fi classic “Alien”, expected to get $ 52-78k.
