San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Monday that he was not involved in any trade discussions about former New York Jets safety Jamal Adams.
According to Matt Mayoko of NBC Sports Bay Area, Lynch denied that the team had any conversation with the Jets over All-Pro safety, which was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday.
“Completely wrong,” Lynch said. “We never called about the player.”
ESPN had reported that the parties involved believed the 49ers and Cowboys were also involved in the discussion. Lynch explicitly denied their alleged involvement.
The 49ers were one of the team, with Adams reportedly hoping he could be traded, but the 49ers themselves did not appear to be interested in him at the time. San Francisco seems reasonably likely that Jimmy Ward and Jackieski are stationed in security along with Tart and set up their two security locations.
Seattle received two first-round picks and a third-round pick with safety Bradley McDonald as the Jets with Adams and a fourth-round pick on Saturday.
