Jewel-Osco offers its clients the possibility to choose between which coronavirus vaccine they would like to make an appointment.
The supermarket chain offers customers the option to choose which vaccine they would like while looking for an appointment, when available.
In the company’s vaccine scheduler, customers can select whether to view appointments with the Pfizer or Moderna two-shot vaccines, or the Johnson & Johnson single-shot vaccine.

“Osco Drug Pharmacy offers customers a selection of vaccines based on the allocation they receive,” a company spokesperson told NBC 5. “We will add appointments for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as a supply becomes available.”
While there are many options for residents to search for coronavirus vaccines, many do not offer a choice about which vaccine to administer.

However, that could change, as Illinois expects a vaccine supply influx in the coming days.
According to Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are expected to increase significantly “very soon.”
“We expect to see a significant number, millions of doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine beginning very soon in the next few days,” the governor said during an unrelated news conference on Friday. “And then hopefully a sustained increase at Johnson & Johnson and we continue to see a rise at Pfizer and Moderna.”
