Jets letting Spencer go, but is a meeting possible?

The Jets are leaving Spencer long Go away, but you can try to bring him back.

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reports that the Jets are refusing to pay Long's $ 3.5 million bonus, which will make the center a free agent. The measure clears $ 6.5 million in capitalization space and leaves no money dead.

While the Jets are interested in recovering Long at a reduced cost, Vacchiano says he could first examine the market to see if he can get more money.

Long was signed with a four-year, $ 27 million contract last year to be the Jets' starting center. If the Jets bring him back, they could take a look at the guard, where Long played well at the end of the season.

Long, 28, started 13 games for the Jets in 2018 after playing his first four seasons in the NFL with Washington.
