The Port Authority says that a JetBlue aircraft from Newark Liberty International Airport bound for the Dominican Republic was diverted to John F. Kennedy Airport on Sunday.
An officer confirmed to Noticias 12 that the plane was diverted after the crew reported that a handful of travelers and crew members felt sick. Earlier it was reported that the crew had smelled an unusual odor, but JetBlue confirmed that there was no odor.
The flight continued on a different plane.
