The snowy conditions were blamed for causing a plane to leave a runway at O'Hare International Airport shortly after landing on Saturday morning.
Due to weather conditions, United Airlines flight 656 from Phoenix to Chicago left the concrete surface, according to airline spokeswoman Natalie Noonan.
No one was hurt, but firefighters helped 129 pbadengers get off the plane after it slid into a grbady area, said Chicago Fire Department Chief Curtis Hudson.
It happened during the scheduled landing of the flight.
A shuttle bus took customers to the terminal, Noonan said.
