Jason Aldean, Brittany Kerr, welcome son after the Las Vegas massacre

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Kerr welcomed their first child together on Friday, completing what the musician called a one-year "rollercoaster ride."

The country rocker – who was on stage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas in October, when gunman Stephen Paddock shot and killed 58 attendees and wounded hundreds of people, welcomed a son called Memphis exactly two months after the tragedy.

"How blessed today to see my little man come to the world, a year that has been a roller coaster, this is all about," Aldean wrote. "I can not wait to see what this guy's life is for, Memphis Aldean … 9 pounds 5 oz. #mamawasarockstar."

A pregnant Kerr shared her account of the mbad shooting on Instagram a few days after the incident. [19659005] Jason Aldean pays homage to the victims of Las Vegas and Tom Petty at SNL

"As we left the team behind on the stage with some of our family members on the road, the bullets flew by … everything What I could think was, I never got to hug my baby, "wrote Kerr Aldean.

"We were the fortunate ones that I can not express in words the pain and anguish we feel for those who are no longer with us," he continued.

Aldean married Kerr in 2015 and although this is their first child together, the singer of "Dirt Road Anthem" has two daughters from a previous relationship with Jessica Williams – Kendyl, 10 and Keeley, 14.

Aldean appeared on "Saturday Night Live" on Saturday after the Las Vegas mbadacre where he played "I Will not Back Down" by Tom Petty after the death of the famous singer.

"This week we witnessed one of the worst tragedies in the history of the United States. As everyone, I'm struggling to understand what happened that night and how Pick up the pieces and start to heal, "Aldean said before heading to the song.

"You can be sure that we are going to walk through these hard times together every step of the way, because when the United States is at its best, our bond and our spirit are unbreakable."
