James Corden tries to train the strenuous training of Mark Wahlberg at 4 a.m.

James Corden is not a fan of Mark Wahlberg's training regime.

During a segment of The last late show On Wednesday night, the 40-year-old host wakes up at 2:25 a.m. to join the infamous 4 a.m. of Wahlberg. Corden is understandably disoriented and angry after waking up in the middle of the night, admitting: "I am praying for him to cancel."

The 47-year-old actor does not cancel, so Corden goes home about an hour after getting out of bed. "I have never seen these roads so calm", he marvels during his trip.

"This is ridiculous, this is the most ridiculous thing," Corden tells Wahlberg when he enters the gym at his home. "Why are we doing this? … I saw a car on the trip here!"

"Is not it nice and quiet, when you get up? [early]"Wahlberg responds.

"I was calmer when I was completely asleep," jokes Corden. "I was completely at peace."

After some stretching, Corden reviews Wahlberg's busy daily program, which begins at 2:30 a.m. and it includes two breakfasts, something that Corden is very interested in.

As to why Wahlberg is so dedicated, it all comes down to his children: She, 15, Michael, 12, Brendan, 10 and Grace, 8.

"When the girls grow up, the boys start coming and ring the bell, you have to be ready!" Wahlberg exclaims. "There is another fight in front of you."

Corden did not seem so worried about his children: Max, 7, Carey, 4 and Charlotte, 11 months, declaring that he would only say: "I know Mark Wahlberg."

"So do not mess with me because I'll call him and he'll come, as long as it's before 5 p.m. Otherwise, he'll be asleep," Corden adds.

The training is finally started with lifting weights, running on a treadmill, push-ups and other high-energy activities. During some jumping lunges, Corden says: "Now I feel like we're in a boy band and I'm enjoying it." Then he starts singing "Everybody" by Backstreet Boys.

After showing off a pair of themed t-shirts, Corden realizes that the seemingly strenuous exercise he just completed was "just warming up" and decides to drop everything.

"Just make sure I do not throw up in my bathroom," Wahlberg jokes when Corden leaves the room.

Corden is not the first celebrity to join Wahlberg's morning training club! Nischelle Turner of ET met with the actor last month, where he remembered when his Instant family co-star, Octavia Spencer, participated.

"I received phone calls from some of the biggest stars in the city, like," I'm going to the club at 4 in the morning, I aspire to be better. "Nobody showed up," Wahlberg said. "She comes in and kills him, you know what, she's inspiring many other people."
