HYDERABAD, India – Ivanka Trump will make a meaningful Solo Excursion when she heads a business conference in India, but her trip highlights questions about whether her message of empowering poor women matches her actions.
Trump landed on Tuesday in the southern city of Hyderabad and is scheduled to make the opening speech later. the day of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
The city has cleared the beggars and filled potholes before the visit of Trump, the daughter of President Donald Trump and a high-level presidential adviser. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join her at the inauguration.
Many Indians are enthusiastic about the glamor and power that Ivanka Trump brings. However, the focus of the conference on women entrepreneurs raises questions about some of the business decisions made by Trump and his famous namesake brand.
