Two of surface-to-surface missiles launched were intercepted by the Syrian air defense, but others caused material damage to the military site, sources told SANA.
The Israeli army refused to comment on the incident when CNN requested it on the Syrian claim.
The incident occurs amid an escalation of tensions between Israel and Syria. In November, the Israeli army accused Syria of violating the 1974 ceasefire agreement by "carrying out construction work" in the northern part of the demilitarized zone of Golan. Israel also shot down an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft that it believed was being operated by Syria.
Israel's declared policy on civil war in Syria is that it does not take sides. Even so, it has carried out dozens of attacks within Syrian borders to defend what it calls its red lines, and to prevent what it says is the power of Iran Hezbollah, which is fighting along with the Syrian regime, to acquire advanced weaponry .
These attacks are mainly against regime objectives, including an Israeli coup at a military research center in early September in northwestern Syria.
