Isaiah Wilson’s days in Tennessee seem to be coming to an end. On Monday night, the offensive tackle’s official Twitter account tweeted that he was “made with football like a titan” and will not accept further comment on the situation. The post remained on the 2020 first-round pick’s social media page for more than 10 minutes before Wilson or someone who also had access to his account deleted it.

This is just the latest test in what has turned into a disastrous start to Wilson’s NFL career after being selected by the club with the No. 29 overall pick last spring. He recorded just four plays for the Titans last season and was placed on the reserve / non-football disabled list in early December after the 22-year-old faced a series of problems off the field. Wilson was arrested for DUI in September and was also suspended by the team later in the season for violating club rules. It was after the suspension was lifted that he was placed on the list of non-football related illnesses due to “personal issues.”

Earlier this month, Titans general manager Jon Robinson was asked about Wilson’s status with the team, noting that he had not been in contact with him since he was listed on NFI. Robinson also put the ball in Wilson’s court whether he wants to continue his career or not.

“He’s going to have to make a determination as to whether he wants to do whatever it takes to play professional football. That’s up to him,” Robinson said at the time. via the official team website.

By the time the Titans selected the 6-foot-6, 350-pound Georgia player, he was seen as someone who could help anchor the offensive line opposite Taylor Lewan, helping protect Ryan Tannehill while paving the way. for Derrick. Henry in the running game. Unfortunately for Tennessee, it doesn’t look like this first round is going to pay the dividends that most organizations expect when they make such a significant investment.

As for Wilson’s NFL career, it appears that he is currently hanging by a thread.
