iRobot states that i3 + can capture 99 percent pollen, mold, dust mites and cat and dog allergies. This is clearly 10 times the suction power of the Rumba 600 series and has the ability to detect where dirt is formed, so it can focus on those areas.
Like its predecessors, the Roomba i7 + and s9 +, i3 + comes with a clean dock called the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal where the machine automatically empties the accumulated debris and that as a charging station Doubles. The clean base surrounds the debris in a bag with four layers of allergen-blocking material and is large enough to hold months of dirt and dust. It’s a lot cheaper than the $ 1,000 i7 + and $ 1,400 s9 +, though – that said, you can get the new Rombe without the clean base at an even cheaper price.
The Roomba i3 + will return you US $ 599 with a clean base, while the i3 with no base costs US $ 399. Both models are now available in the US and Canada on iRobot’s website and will be out for sale to various retailers later this month. The Roomba i3 + will be available in other countries sometime in the first quarter of 2021.
