Will the next iPhone X have a better battery?

The latest iPhones do many amazing things, but they are mostly the same story when it comes to battery life. Maybe 2018 will be the year that Apple's batteries will see some improvement.

A new report from respected industry badyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI Securities says the next trio of iPhones to come in 2018 will have larger L-shaped batteries inside, just like the iPhone X. Battery capacity could be up to 3,000 mAh, reports 9to5Mac.

That could mean an increase in the battery life of the iPhone in 2018, but note that the iPhone X has a battery capacity of 2,716 mAh based on disbademblies, and we discovered that its duration Battery performance is not significantly better than previous iPhones in our CNET tests.

Larger batteries may be included to control larger screens (reportedly 5.8, 6.1, and 6.5 inches) and Face ID, which is also reported to be on all three phones. And, possibly, a more powerful processor, or maybe a TrueDepth camera in the back and front. It would be great to see a better battery life on iPhones.

We'll see what will happen next year.
