The future of the iPhone is changing, with predictions of some features that appear while others fade. According to a report published today, we will not see 5G on an iPhone in 2019, but we will see that function in 2020. That means another year of waiting, maybe. It could also be that 5G changes the game for every smartphone anywhere.
There are many rumors circulating this week, but we will start with a set of MacRumors and work backwards. The 2020 iPhone collection will seemingly work with 5G support and relatively important updates for the front and back of the phone. On the front: a full-screen fingerprint sensor. On the back: a newly minted 3D detection camera configuration.
But wait, you could be saying that I have been following the leaks very closely and they made me believe that there was a 3D sensor on the back of the iPhone 2019 line. That could also be, but from one year to the next we could see a sensor 3D you can do a bit with a 3D sensor that is capable of a lot. How far it will go, I still do not know.
The front of the iPhone 2020 collection was bent to have a full-screen touch identification system. That means that the fingerprint login anywhere on the screen panel with the "fingerprint acoustic technology". It's as if you heard your thumb from a mile away, right?
There is a potential 2020 iPhone SE 2 comes (obviously next year), but there are some doubts about the legitimacy of this rumor. It could be that Apple is simply considering this device and has not yet committed to order bulk parts. Meanwhile, Apple seems to be committed to the use of SOLO OLED on their iPhones after 2020.
It was said that the iPhone XR for 2019 with a more conservative price had a GB of additional RAM, so 4 GB instead of 3 GB. Otherwise, it will be extremely similar to its predecessor. Although no iPhones from this point on will have a 3D touch, apparently. That is a feature that will disappear completely in favor of Haptic Touch, so it is said.
As with last year, production is likely to increase in July and August, and we will probably see an event at Apple's headquarters in September 2019. This will mean a release date of late September or early October for the iPhone 11 (or iPhone XI, whatever you want to call it at this early stage).
