Each new look is slightly different, but all three give Instagram reels and revolve around the existing section (or two), giving shopping a prominent place. In one of the new layouts, the reels replaced the Explore tab, while shopping replaces the “Activity” section (both exploration and activity are moved to the top right corner of the inbox).
In another change, Instagram crams All six Shortcut – Home, Explore, Reels, Shop, Activity, and Profile – Shortcut goes to the top right to create a new post in Bottom Row.
If it seems that all this is confusing Instagram more… then you are not wrong. Instagram As Facebook’s influence on Instagram has increased, the navigation of the app has started to look much like Facebook’s famous bloated app.
Such updates have also been unpopular in the past. When Instagram added the IGTV shortcut next to the inbox, users deleted it and then quickly ignored it. Instagram dropped the shortcut earlier this year – perhaps to make room for reels and shopping.
