Ingress Prime will present an important update of the first AR game of Niantic Lab in 2018

In 2012, Niantic Labs was a subsidiary of Google when it launched its first AR mobile game called Ingress. Since its inception, the game has gained a very close-knit community, but its size pales in comparison to the company's second AR experience, Pokémon GO. Entering 2018, Niantic Labs has decided to return to the drawing boards and completely renew the mobile application and call it Ingress Prime.

In a recent interview with The Verge CEO of Niantic Labs, John Hanke, said that "Ingress is very difficult to understand initially, and it does not get stronger until you have connected with another group of players. " Because of this, while Ingress Prime will serve as software To update the original AR game, the company is presenting a new plot, new illustrations, a new user interface and much more.

In addition, with the Ingress Prime update, Niantic Labs plans to rebuild from scratch, allowing company to use AR features not available five years ago. What this means is that the game that uses location-based information for most of its basic functions will soon have full access to Google's ARCore and Apple's ARKit for an additional game.

Ingress Prime is not the only game that Niantic Labs plans to present in 2018. Earlier this year, the company announced a partnership with Warner Bros. to build a Pokémon GO-type AR game around the Harry Potter stories and the magical world. All we can hope for is that the release of basically two new games does not constantly affect the Niantic Lab servers, like what we experience when Pokémon GO comes to market.
