- Apple released iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 to the public last week, but users have already discovered two errors that seem to have something to do with the application of the certificates.
- In the first place, iOS, 13.5 users were running into a bug that caused some applications to be inaccessible. The only way to get the app backup and running was to remove or discharge the same and reinstall it.
- Second, iOS 13.5 users were asked to install dozens of app updates that had already been installed, and it seems likely that these two issues are related.
Last Wednesday, Apple released the final version of iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 to the public. iOS 13.5 was the first major public release of software for the iPhone from the month of March, but it would not be a software launch without a hiccup or two. MacRumors reported last Friday that some iOS users were experiencing an error which made it impossible to open certain applications. The following error message began to appear on the screen to the affected users: “This application is not shared with you.” Now, potentially related to the bug is rearing its ugly head.
On Sunday, several iOS users took to the MacRumors forums to report that anywhere between 10 or 15 to hundreds of pending updates of the application are displayed in the App Store. This would not have been noteworthy on its own, but many of these updates for the same version number of the application as it was already installed on their devices. In other words, Apple seemed to be the new issuance of updates to the applications regardless of whether or not the user had already downloaded and installed the updates, but without giving any explanation.
On Monday morning, Apple has yet to provide any updates on any of these topics, but MacRumors the suspicion that could be related. If the “not shared” error had something to do with expired certificates, which might have been necessary for Apple to re-release of the latest software updates to restore or update the certificates.
If you run into the error of sharing and an update of the App Store does not fix the problem, there is no other way to gain access to the application without losing any of your data or settings. Of the head to Settings > General > the iPhone Storage and scroll down until you find the problematic application. Tap it, and then press the The Download Of The Application the button. You can then re-install the application and pick up right where you left off. While that does not remain in the error in dozens of apps, it is quite a simple process and should take no more than a couple of minutes to get everything back to normal.
Again, we don’t yet know anything from Apple about the “not shared” error, or the error that is forcing some users to re-update dozens or even hundreds of applications, but we will update this post if we do.
