Huawei Mate 30 Pro, hints at the return of the wide notch, technology similar to that of Face ID

The notch of the Mate 20 Pro

The Huawei P30 Pro has been selling incredibly well since it was launched in April, but with the Galaxy Note 10 and iPhone 11 just around the corner, sales will undoubtedly be affected. To counter this, Huawei will launch the Mate 30 Pro later this year and now we know how the flagship will look from the front.

Broad returns are still full of technology.

Originally posted on the Chinese social network Weibo (through Slashleaks), a new photo shows what is required to be the front panel of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The specific details, such as the size of the screen where it is shared, but the glass panel itself seems to be quite small, like its predecessor, the flagship is configured to retain the same front configuration where a curved OLED screen is paired. A relatively wide notch. This time, however, the curvature on both sides of the screen will be much more pronounced and the notch itself should be slightly narrower.

In the regular series Mate 20 and P30, Huawei uses a notch similar to a drop of water that, although it is more aesthetic for many, leaves no room for a 3D facial recognition system. Laughter was one of the highlights of the Mate 20 Pro and, judging by the appearance of things, Huawei wants to retain the feature in this year's Mate 30 Pro, hence the presence of a larger category.
In a separate design note, today's filtration suggests that the next flagship will adopt a more angular design that is in line with that of the Galaxy Note 10 series. Presumably, Huawei is doing this to better differentiate the Mate series from the line P, whose laughter is associated with more rounded designs.

The Mate 30 Pro could be the square camera module.

Although this leak does not reveal much in terms of the subsequent design of the Mate 30, the recent suggestion of a major change is planned for the flagship. Last year, Huawei introduced a new design language that used a large square-shaped camera module on the back. The natural step would be for the company to continue with this aspect, but with innumerable leaks suggesting that both Apple and Google are going to use similar designs this year, it is said that Huawei is changing things again.

The Mate 30 Pro can look like this

Like Motorola's Moto Z and Moto G smartphones, the Mate 30 Pro will apparently adopt a circular module on the back. It is expected to house the usual LED flash and a total of four individual cameras. One of these will act as the main sensor, while another is rumored to be a time-of-flight sensor. Huawei will also include a super wide-angle shooter and a periscope-like camera similar to the one found in the P30 Pro.

Emblematic specifications and possibly 5G support.

Along with everything mentioned above, it is expected to be a range of flagship specifications. These should include the upcoming Kirin 990 chip from Huawei and, potentially, compatibility with 5G networks as standard. In addition, it seems likely a minimum of 8 GB or RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage, although variants with larger quantities are required.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro will probably be marketed with Android 10 Q from the factory along with the next custom EMUI 10 overlay. Other features should include support for at least 40W of charge, reverse wireless charging and IP68 water and dust resistance.

It is rumored that the next Huawei flagship will arrive in mid-October, followed by a launch later this month. It will be accompanied by the standard designs Mate 30 and Mate 30 X and Mate 30 RS ultra premium.
