Here’s NJ’s favorite Easter candy, and it ain’t Peeps

A recent survey found that 29 states have something in common. Whether it's red states like Texas or blue states like California, everyone voted Reese's peanut butter chocolate eggs like your favorite Easter sweets. And yes, New Jersey was one of the 29.

It is a difficult decision to discuss. It's almost the perfect gift. Delaware and New York chose the same. But what about Pennsylvania, where marshmallow peeps are made in Bethlehem? Surely they would have to be loyal to their own iconic sweets, right?

No The favorite Easter sweets in Pennsylvania are the Cadbury eggs. In fact, there is little love in America for Peeps, which I find shocking. 32% chose Reese peanut butter chocolate eggs as their favorites, followed by Cadbury eggs with 17%, jelly candies 16% and chocolate bunnies 10%. Peeps? Only 6% chose this in their favorite. Well, maybe it's not your favorite, but was it your second or third option? Not again. 73% said they do not even like Peeps.

How can this be when more than 700 million Peeps are eaten each year? Those who like them should be eating too many!

Have a happy Easter, even those who hate you!
