NVIDIA is preparing to launch its new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, which should be launched for under $ 400 and offer performance that beats the GeForce RTX 2080 Super.
The new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti has been detailed by our friends in a new leak on VideoCardz, which is reportedly a slide that was sent to the press. There was no performance number other than the relative performance comparison between the RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 2060 SUPER and the RTX 2080 SUPER – VideoCardz measured the bars and provided some rough performance numbers from the chart.
NVIDIA’s desk compares rasterizing performance, ray tracing performance, and rendering performance – of which the RTX 3060 Ti kicks some asses across the board – but really dominates in performance thanks to advances under Ampere and GDDR680 memory .
NVIDIA hopes to use 8GB of GDDR6 memory on the new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, similar to the RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2060 Super graphics cards. But the previous-gen Turing-based GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER clocked its 8GB GDDR6 at 15.5Gbps, while the RTX 3060 Ti will use 14Gbps modules.
The price of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be less than $ 400 below the $ 700 price on the GeForce RTX 2080 Super launched in 2019.
We should expect NVIDIA to launch GeForce RTX 3060 Ti on 2 December.
