Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen was ejected from the NBA summer league game Thursday night against the Boston Celtics in Las Vegas after picking up two flagrant fouls in the span of seven seconds.
Both hard fouls were against the Celtics rookie, Grant Williams, and led Allen to shoot with 9 minutes, 12 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Allen, the No. 21 pick in the NBA draft of 2018, played last season with the Utah Jazz as a rookie and was part of the trade that sent Mike Conley to Utah.
Allen also committed a technical foul at the start of Thursday's game, and another in his summer league debut with Memphis on Sunday.
At several moments during his four-year Duke career, Allen was reprimanded for shooting his opponents, a habit that led to a suspension of a game in 2017 and that Allen was stripped of his Blue Devil captaincy.
Allen's expulsion was the third in the summer league this year, after San Antonio Spurs passed Drew Eubanks on Monday and the Los Angeles Lakers beat Nick Perkins on Wednesday.
