Greene Co. MPs investigate death at Southwest Springfield home


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A death investigation is underway at a home in southwest Springfield.

Greene County deputies responded to the wellness check on a house in the 2600 block of W. Rockwood Street. The sheriff’s office says a man was found dead.

Neighbors tell KY3 that there has been a strong police presence in the area for several hours. There is crime scene tape around a house, and several county vehicles are visible around the scene.

Greene County lawmakers say they don’t believe there is a threat to the public, but have been unable to confirm any other details about the investigation.
