Six formats have shown interest in PPC's lignite plants Greek Economy



Six vehicles have expressed interest in the purchase of the lignite units of Meliti and / or Megalopolis of PPC, as officially announced by the company. In particular, the interested parties are:

1. BEIJING GUOHUA POWER COMPANY LIMITED AND DAMCO ENERGY S.A. (CONSORTIUM)
2. GEK TERNA SA
3. ELVALCHALCOR HELLENIC CHEMICAL AND ALUMINUM INDUSTRY SA
4. ENERGETICKÉ A INDUSTRIAL HOLDING, A.S. ("EPH")
5. INDOVERSE (CZECH) COAL INVESTMENTS LIMITED
6. MYTILINEOS SOCIETE ANONYME – ENTERPRISE GROUP

The PPC consultants regarding the tender procedure, after evaluating the submitted expressions of interest, will submit their findings to PPC regarding the candidates who meet the participation criteria for the next phase of the competition
The final decision for the candidates for the next stage of the tender procedure will be taken by PPC's Board of Directors

It is reminded that the following are for sale:

– The Megalopolis Company consisting of Megalopolis 3 and 4 lignite units with the relevant exploration and exploitation rights for the associated lignite deposits of Megalopolis and the associated mining infrastructure

– Meliti Enterprises (Florina) consisting of the Meliti 1 lignite unit, as well as the (and related permits) for the construction of a supplemental lignite unit called Melitis 2, along with the Vevey mine, the Kleidi mine, the Meliti Hill and the associated mining infrastructure

The portfolio sold according to the Commission's assessment , represents up to 35.6% of PPC's total projected lignite power capacity in the period 2018-2035 and is among the most competitive units in the Greek market

In the first phase of the tender, (19659005) The conditions include the experience of the electricity markets, including the experience of producing electricity, the management and operation of power plants , average equity over the last three years over € 100 million

Next Tuesday, the General Assembly will meet at the Ministry of Environment and Energy of the shareholders of PPC to approve the secession of the two branches of lignite units of Megalopolis and Florina
