Colo. (KRDO) – On Wednesday night, Governor Jared Polis issued a statement asking Colorado’s Department of Public Health and Environment to move all counties on the dial to Level Red. If approved, it will be effective from Monday, January 4, 2021.
Gov. Polis said after reviewing the data, he noticed that Colorado had been in continuous decline for 13 days, and only 73% of ICU beds were in use statewide.
He thanked Rangdan for taking a step and making an effort to save himself and others. The governor encourages people to continue that security-mindset through the new year, so that another lockdown can be avoided.
This change currently only applies to counties in Red, including El Paso County and Pueblo County.
