Google TV is the biggest change to Android TV we’ve seen in years, and although it may well have drawbacks, it seems to be very good at serving the content you really want. It also has a readily available watchlist, in which you can add movies and shows from various services. We now know that this list is integrated with the Watchlist feature in Google Search as well as the Wishlist in the Play Store.

Adding a TV show or movie to your Google Watchlist is as easy as searching for it and then hitting a button, and on Google TV itself, every listing also has this feature. The new Google TV app, formerly Play Movies and TV, is no different. Your Google Play Store account also has a completely separate wish list that you can assume is reserved for apps and games, but it is now a unified list of everything (see below).

Google Search, Play Movies & TV (soon just Google TV) and Play Store.

It can be a little confusing to begin with, especially if your Play Store Wishlist is full of things you don’t expect to have, but it will definitely make it easier to track Google TV content as a whole . And this is really the point of the new Google TV interface, seemingly, to make the TV-viewing experience as frictionless as possible. See Ryan’s review for how well it does to achieve this goal.
