Google to inaugurate Biden among Microsoft corporate donors


Alphabet Inc.’s Google and Microsoft Corp. is among more than 960 organizations and individuals who have donated more than $ 200 for the inauguration of President-Elect Joe Biden, according to a list organized by the committee.

The committee did not list individual totals or provide additional details of donations.

Other donating companies include Qualcomm Inc., cable provider Comcast Corp and Charter Communications, Inc. Boeing Co., and Insurers Anthem Inc. The President’s inaugural committee also received donations from the American Federation of Teachers and the United Food and Commercial Workers.

Notable individuals who included former Senator Barbara Boxeroff California and singer Barbara Streisand.

For individuals, the inaugural committee provided only to the state where the individuals reside. It will have to give detailed information to employers and addresses of donors on April 15 to the Federal Election Commission.

The inauguration, which had already dramatically increased back due to the coronovirus epidemic, will be held under tight security. The incident occurred only after riots that killed five people, including a police officer, were triggered by supporters of President Donald Trump.

In his final message before Trump was banned on Twitter, he said he would not participate. Vice President Mike Pence would break up with the president and run, however, two people familiar with his plans said.

Biden and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris asked Americans to stay home on January 20 and virtually mark their inauguration.

After consultation with public health officials, the Presidential Inauguration Committee stated that it would not hold a traditional mass gathering at the National Mall. The committee also announced the traditional parade following the inauguration of the White House from the Capitol, which will be “remodeled.” A few other details have been released about the day, including how Biden will deliver his opening speech.
