Google has published a list of the most downloaded applications that appeared in the Play Store in 2017, as well as the main applications recommended by Play Store publishers.
The most popular application this year is FaceApp, a Russian photo application that uses artificial intelligence to make your face look older, younger or become another genre.
The second most popular application is What The Forecast, a humorous weather app that promises to explain "how unpleasant it is outside" and encourages users to "go back to bed". The application encourages people with "more than 6,657 completely unpleasant phrases" for the current climate. Users can adjust blasphemy settings.
The clbadic cartoon subscription service Boomerang, owned by Time Warner, ranks third.
Other popular applications are TopBuzz Video: viral videos, funny GIFs and TV shows; and Yarn – Chat Fiction, an application that tells stories in a chat format.
Google also compiled several major application categories selected by Play Store publishers.
According to the editors, the most innovative applications of 2017 are Pinterest, Snapchat, Be my Eyes – Helping the blind, Google Earth and Bitcoin wallet Coinbase.
Meanwhile, the best application of the year is Socratic, a tutorial application that aims to help users with the task.
The best apps for kids for 2017 include Space for Kids, Kids Learn Languages, Miffy & # 39; s World, and Pinkfong Shapes & Colors.
Publishers consider that Google's Allo application is one of the main "hidden gems", along with Socratic, Cornershop, Castbox and Payit.
Slack is one of the most important social applications, just like the Tandem language swap application, the Strava health application, the I like video editing application and the Cookpad recipe application.
The company also revealed the best movies, songs and games of the year. Moana is the most downloaded movie, while Super Mario Run by Nintendo is the best new game. "Humble" by Kendrick Lamar is the main song, followed by "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran.
