Google homepage 2.11 rebrands Home Hub, removal of code names "Zion" and other chains [APK Insight]

The new "Google Nest" brand was introduced last week in I / O 2019 and the company is already announcing it. While Nest Hub Max is the first product release under that unification, the existing Home Hub was renamed immediately. That new name appears live on Google Home 2.11, while several references to future products and features were removed.

About APK Insight: In this "APK Insight" publication, we have decompiled the latest version of an application that Google uploaded to the Play Store. When we decompile these files (called APK, in the case of Android applications), we can see several lines of code within the possible future characteristics. Keep in mind that Google may or may not be these characteristics and our interpretation of what may be imperfect. However, everyone tries to enable those who are closer to finish, to show how they will look if they are sent. With that in mind, keep reading.

Google Nest Hub

On iOS, the "Local devices" page includes both the names of assigned products and the real names of the gadgets. "Google Nest Hub" is active there, as well as in the Android device configuration under the Privacy button to "Send Google Nest Hub device usage data and bug reports".

Elimination of "Zion"

Meanwhile, Google Home 2.11 can also be used to remove several strings that appear in the "border router" encoded by "Zion". Last month, version 2.10 detailed the product "with a built-in smart connector". Google ecosystem in a home and helped users to configure it.

In addition, Nest smart devices have used some references to scanning QR codes, as well as whether strings allow users to specify in which window or location an accessory was placed. It is possible that Google never intended to disclose this information last month and eventually withdrew.

How to update?

Google Home 2.11 is now being launched through the Play Store. We do not publish APK files to download directly given the legal challenges associated with copyright and the possibility of removal. Meanwhile, that model is dangerous given the Android application packages and the dynamic delivery of Google Play.

Thanks to JEB Decompiler, which benefits some APK Insight tears.
