Google Duo can now be installed on Android TV

Amid the COVID-19 epidemic, video calling has reached new heights. As a result, Google recently announced that its Duo calling service is coming soon to Android TV. Today, the service started but with a minor catch – it doesn’t really work yet.

If you go to the Play Store from your browser, you will see that Google Duo can now be installed remotely on Android TV devices. In my list, there is not a single Android TV model for installation. In addition, you can go directly to the Play Store from your TV and appear in the search results ready for installation.

However, once you install the Duo on your Android TV, the service is not as functional as you would expect. The Duo will not be added to your homescreen or app tray. The only way to open it would be through the Settings app, or using the Sidolad Launcher.

After the application loads, it will show a familiar interface where you can make video or voice calls. to make A call is actually functional, and if you opt for voice-only, it uses a microphone that is built into your remote control (this can vary between devices).

However, You cannot yet receive calls on Android TV on Google Duo. Presumably, this is something that will be working in future versions of the Google app, but right now it is actually half of an experience.
